Alpha Rooms is an excellent company in my opinion. I have personally used them many times for business trip and holidays. If you look for Alpha Rooms Reviews online you will find only a rare few complaints and that brings me to a rant on the subject of refunds, especially with the COVID situation.
The owner of a small guest house wrote this and she has my sympathy.
“In the current climate of free cancellations on so many sites, people tend to forget that if there isn’t a free cancellation option then your need to take travel insurance or you take a chance. You have no right to blame someone else and have a paddy because you can’t shame them into a refund. I get quite angry when people don’t see that to refund everyone out of the kindness of the heart destroys a business, but those that care only for themselves don’t see how unfair it is to extort a refund because you scream and shout while others more deserving go without.”
To most it’s just a holiday, something you pay for after all the bills etc, but to small businesses it is HOW they pay the bills.
