Luxor

Travel to Luxor and you will know why it is one of Egypt’s great tourist attractions. It is also commonly known as the world’s largest open air museum. Luxor is built on and around the ancient site of Thebes. Tourists have been visiting the area since the Greco-Roman times, so you won’t be the first! There are so many splendid temples and monuments although Luxor is actually three separate areas each with their own highlights.

Hurghada

Hurghada offers a wide range of accommodations, ranging from luxury five-star resorts and villages on the beach to the more-modest two and three-star hotels in and around town. Unlike Alexandria, where the summer is the high season, the winter months (October through April) are the busiest in Hurghada, and hotel availability and rates will change quickly depending upon the flow of visitors.

Taba

The new fast growing unspoiled upmarket Red Sea resort of Taba, in the area known as the Egyptian Riviera, is the ideal place for rest and relaxation. Set against the picturesque Sinai mountain range Taba boasts the most spectacular views. Taba offers year round sunshine and an array of first class hotels. Taba is ideally placed to explore the fascinating historical sites of the area. With the opening of the International Airport in 2001, which has direct flights from many parts of Europe, Taba is fast becoming a favorite holiday destination. Taba offers fantastic dive conditions so it really is the ideal resort in which to learn to dive – warm waters and a calm current and shallow reefs accessible straight from the beach. Taba hotels offer an abundance of other activities, such as golf, water-sports, camel rides, quad bike rides and boat-trips. A visit to the Sinai Desert is a must while holidaying in Taba, as is a traditional Bedouin dinner under the stars.

Marsa Alam

Marsa Alam is one of the more recently discovered Red Sea resorts. Marsa Alam, previously a quaint fishing village, is set to become one of Egypt’s fastest growing holiday resorts. Marsa Alam is a tropical delight with miles of untouched sandy beaches and inviting crystal clear blue waters perfect to discover the unspoilt coral reefs and awesome marine wildlife. Marsa Alam is an up and coming favourite with diving enthusiasts, with dive sites such as the Elphinstone Reef famous for its Hammerheads. However, whether you’re a diver, historian, windsurfer or sun worshipper there’s something to suit everyone at Marsa Alam.
