Yala Village Hotel

“Nice Hotel with a great concept of having your individual chalet inside the jungle. Our room was visited by wild boar regularly! the bird life right outside was terrific. Since we had our own SUV we traveled to and from the restaurant in it. You would certainly need to be accompanied by a staff member to and from the room”

“An exciting venue for lovers of wildlife complete with a relaxing hotel atmosphere without noisy packages tours arriving and departing every day. Ideal for the independant minded traveller looking for the unusual. more “

“Amazing experience. You are literally living with nature. You have all the facilities that you would expect from a modern hotel right in the middle of a forest and completely surrounded by wildlife. “Yala Village is an excellent base from which to explore Yala National Park. Although beside the sea there is no swimming due to dangerous currents but the hotel has a fine swimming pool. Our room did not have an”

The hotel is in the middle of the jungle and one review gives the impression that the grounds are crawling with snakes and insects which”

“Great location great atmosphere. Elephants throughout the camp at night. Good lookout over waterhole. Yala park is beautiful. more “

“We stayed at Yala Village for 3 nights during a 2 week trip to Sri Lanka – we mainly stayed here to go on safari. The hotel itself is quite cute with perfectly adequate little huts to stay in! It is very eco-friendly though and as such isn’t particularly luxurious! If you want to be pampered this is not the”

“We travelled (mum dad husband and twelve year old son and I) to Sri Lanka with First Choice and spent the first week there travelling on the Scenic Tour. We stayed at Holiday Inn Colombo Topaz Hotel Kandy and The Grand Hotel Nuwara Eliya (the latter two have also been reviewed on this site). On the fourth night we were”
