Hotel Sunflower Beach

“Stayed my last night in Sri Lanka here just to be close to the airport. For the very little I paid I was pleasantly surprised to get a large comfortable clean room with working aircon fan TV sea view. Wouldnt really have wanted to stay any longer as the place was sadly a ghost town. more “

“sunflower hotel was my worst experience in my sri lanka trip. the hotel is a bit old and there’s a certain fishy smell in the lobby. we got a deluxe room and it is nothing remarkable at all. room is simple just the basics and was smelling of cigarette smoke. the AC wasn’t cooling at all so we accordingly advised”

“Excellent place to start and or end your stay in Sri Lanka We stayed two nights at the start of a three week holiday and we wished we had arranged to stay there at the end instead of further away from the airport in a less Sri Lankan hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and didn’t make any”

“Definitely not a boutique hotel the Sunflower is however the ideal place to stay at the beginning of your trip and at the end. It is only 20 minutes from the airport it is located right on the beach – ideal for chilling next to the pool after a long-haul flight. The road outside the hotel is full of shops”

“Stayed at The Sunflower Beach on the last day of a fantastic tour around Sri lanka. The Hotel is very clean the rooms are fabulous for the price. Air conditioning balcony (I had beautiful sea view) Parque floors and very tasteful furniture. Very central for restaurants shops and booking further tours if required. Staff cannot do enough for you. One word”

“I would recommend this small wonderful hotel to people who love food and want to experience Sri Lankan Hospitality. more “

“We have just returned from a 5 day stay at The Sunflower Beach Hotel. The hotel rooms are clean and where cleaned every day during our stay. The hotel staff where very friendly and helpful especially the restaurant staff. The hotel restaurant served good food the hotel & pool area are in need of a bit of an update. Negombo”

“The Sunflower Beach is a friendly hotel its inexpensive the food is excelent and if you have children you can see them in the pool from all the rooms. Every day your room is cleaned and the sheets arranged in the most elaborate way with fresh flower petals a nice touch. The staff will all take the time to chat”

“Stayed there for two weeks half board March 2004. Hotel in need of updating but adequate for the price paid and the staff were very nice with great sense of humour. Negombo town is very dirty as is the beach. There are fishermens’ shacks just down the beach and lots of stray dogs and cats. Accommodation and food is so”
