The Palms Hotel

“Hotel was very pleasant staff were a pleasure. Nothing was to much trouble. Very good choices with the buffet meals esp. if you like curry!!. Beach is on your doorstep. Beach boys were marvellous to me as a single female traveller I took advantage of the very nice natures & had them organise tours geared to my likes & dislikes…. “

“This is a really superb hotel in every possible way. I travel Long Haul an average of 6 times annually and therefore know a good hotel when I find one. This hotel is perfectly situated at the end of the long beautiful soft sandy Beruwela beach where the sea is like a warm bath but quite rough at this time”

“We stayed in this hotel for 10 nights as part of our tour. The hotel is beautiful. You enter through a series of paths with streams running round with goldfish swimming. All the areas in the hotel are surrounded by streams making it very relaxing. The staff are wonderful and would do anything for you. The location is great all”

“booked this hotel with mercury direct as featured 4 star hotel on arrival found rooms to be dirty grubby bathrooms threadbare towels we complained so was asked to have lunch whilst the rooms were sorted things got worse buffet lunch was being served from uncovered dishes attracting flies cultlery and crockery were not the cleanest overall there was a general”

“Stayed at The Palms Hotel from 6th to 20th October. This was my third visit and hopefully not my last. It is secret worth sharing. After a long drive 2-3 hours from the airport you enter this “Paradise” via a dirt track road off the main Galle Road. When you enter the unobtrusive gates into a fantastic walled garden “

“we have just returned from The Palms hotel where we stayed for 10 days through mercury loved this place so so much everyone we met was so so nice the staff were great the room was very nice with a breath taking view and i could not fault the food one little bit. I would defo go back to”

“My husband and I have just returned from a very relaxing two week holiday at the Palms Beruwela. The staff were very friendly the food was of an extremely high standard and the people we met at the hotel all added to a wonderful holiday. To get the most out of Sri Lanka you must hire a driver and see”

“We were a group of 7 adults and had a fabulous time at The Palms in Sri Lanka. The hotel was absolutely fantastic with a beautiful sea view and lovely well maintained gardens. The food was scrumptious and the cook could not do enough for us. All the waiters were ever so helpful and made us welcome at the hotel…. “

“Hi we have just returned from a marvelous holiday at The Palms Hotel Beruwela. Before going we had a few misgivings but these were soon dispeled on our arrival. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with little streams full of fish running through the building its self . The rooms are large and airy with A/C fan fridge T.V. “

“i only gave the palms an average rating because in my opinion for an all inc hotel it was just average i have been to far better in other countries……..but having said that it was outstanding for its staff friendlyness and beautiful in its design with fish ponds running all aroud its walk ways and the gardens were beautiful too every”

“Our transfer to the Eden took about 3 & half hrs due to bad traffic. The standard of driving is very different to that of this country with every other vehicle being a tuk tuk moped or bus. The journey time depends on the time of day you arrive on our return it took under 2 hrs. When we arrived”

“First things first…we went in the “monsoon season” and found the weather to be gr8. Saying that we did have 1 day”

“My family and i returned from Sri Lanka on Thursday after two fantastic weeks there. It wasn’t my first visit but for four of our group it was. “We had stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it but this visit was a total disaster. We booked a 2 weeks all-inclusive holiday through srilanka.com. We didn’t book it in UK because we intended staying on in Sri Lanka after the hotel holiday. When we arrived at the hotel a notice on the reception desk apologised for the renovation”

“From 29/01/09-12/02/09. As this is a 3 star hotel you should not expect more from it than a 3 star says. Felt like some rewievs were based on higher standards. Yes there is no TV’s in the rooms and there is a little smell from the old wardrobe on the right wing of the hotel but we have asked to move”

“We stayed at CPG in Oct 2007 we had a fantastic time the staff were great nothing to much trouble the food was great something different every night there was plenty to do around the pool every day if you wanted to join in. “I have just got back from a 2 week holiday at this hotel. We all were so excited and looking forward to seeing Sri Lanka and staying at this fun-looking hotel.
