Hotel Sea Life Resort Sharm Holiday Reviews

Hotel Sea Life Resort Sharm

We enjoyed our holiday in Sea Life resort, the hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. There is a certain amount of touting for hotel extras, eg., the beauty salon but never overbearing or unpleasant.
I am not a big food critic, I am happy if it is cooked well and there is plenty of choice, and I always found this to be the case.
The pool area is busy but never seemed crowded, no probs getting a sunbed. The early towel brigade are everywhere, but have always seemed to be few in numbers, perhaps because there is no need.
The hotel is on the beach, it is very gravelly so take swim shoes with you, and you can go straight in to snorkel and be amazed at the other, ‘sea life,’ I felt that I had walked into an aquarium.
Fifteen minutes in a hotel taxi takes you in to Na’ama Bay which you must do – busy, bright and bustling – then decide if you like it, or love it. Visit Cairo if you can, it’s an assault on the senses, but fascinating;
Luxor is more peaceful, and like the old Egypt we have pictured in our minds from old movies. We enjoyed all our excursions, don’t miss one of the boat trips with snorkelling stops (through our tour operator Thomas Cook) it’s a great day out – fab lunch included.
Going back again in September and can’t wait !

Just got back from the Sea Life Resort with my partner, our 5th time in sharm but first visit to this resort. Hotel clean but rooms could do with updating. Staff very friendly and helpful. The wine ( local) is drinkable and the beer seems quite nice but imported alcohol is expensive so try to stick to the local brews. Food, well not the best we’ve had – could certainly do with some improvement. Evening entertainment quite awful but this is one of the things you expect in Egypt hotels. Will we return to Egypt again, yes but not to this hotel.

Partner and I both early 50’s, were looking for 2 weeks sun/relaxation at a reasonable price – Sea Life seemed to fit the bill.
One of our cases was lost on the journey from Sharm airport to Sea Life (one with all our clothes – so not a good start (not sea life’s fault but worth a mention) – check your bags are not taken off at the wrong complex!.
Also many thanks to the lovely lady and daughter who loaned my partner some of her clothes – as we had only what we stood in.
Food OK – you will not starve, fair amount of choices in restaurants, with pool bars serving burgers/hot dogs midday.
All water and local alcohol free + tea & coffee.
The local spirits, wine etc we could not drink – especially the wine – you can purchase named brands though.
We had the tummy bug twice – nearly had to cancel our Cairo trip -but with the aid of 21 GBP’s worth of Antenal and other drugs got over it fast – as I said got it twice so more money spent.
Resort seemed clean – apartments tired and dark.
We felt very restricted as there was no where to wonder off to – apart from the resort – we like our freedom and usually have villa holidays – so may not be fair to comment on.
We went to Nama Bay – but wished we hadn’t – constant pestering by the locals puts you off – same with the pyramids I am afraid.
Weather gorgeous, sea great and snorkelling and fishes seen wonderful.
All in all we would not go back even for a week – however glad we did it.
