Bottlenose dolphins are probably the only dolphin species you’ll get to see at St. Pete Beach. It’s quite noticeable that there is very little mention of this on Dolphin Beaches own website. The nearby Clearwater Beach may be a better choice for seeing dolphins – home to several species of dolphins, including Bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic spotted dolphins, and Risso’s dolphins.

What is the best time to see dolphins?

The best time to go dolphin watching in this area is during the months of April to October. If you want to see dolphins (and whales) a holiday to Tenerife in the Canary Islands could be a good choice. In South Tenerife you can see whales and dolphins all year round.
