Staff here are so welcoming & will try their very best to make holiday the best. With travel agent had asked for pool view-on arrival did not have but when requested at the front desk we where able to move the next day, made stay more enjoyable. All staff are so polite & really this is why I come back. Value for money…rooms are in need of decoration but very clean which is important. Food is fab, lots to choose from so somthing for everyone-remember this is a different culturer/country so be prepared to try. Alcohol is horrid but then it is a Muslim country so I stayed with shandy & white wine lemonade which I found great. Ice cream in afternoon you have to be quick as once gone no top up!!! I love it here, simple no frills but as I said made to feel so welcome & for me that is what makes my holiday. Sunshine-lots & hotel staff-friendly. Ticks all my boxes! Hope you enjoy your time as I do. For sure I will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Staff are so friendly and helpful, especially recreation team, they get you to join in everything. Dont worry about the airport being next door, we didnt hear much noise at all during night. Water slides good fun, they have slide races. Night time entertainment average but good fun(i know i keep repeating this but it is fun). Not keen on location, you can go down to beach but if you are like me and like to lay on beach and keep going in and out of water you are not allowed because of the coral (beach is at sister hotel round the corner, walking distance of about 5mins). If you want to go in water you have to walk along the floating jetty and jump in, no good if you cant swim. We stayed in resort most of the time because it is so expensive to have a drink anywhere. If you want to book any trips I suggest you book them with Adam from the dive school, his rates are a lot lower than the reps and they are more reliable. Rooms are basic but clean, except shower which looked a bit dodgy. Good variety of food, chance to eat in Italian or BBQ once a week.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times and we always feel so welcome. The staff cant do enough for us. Everybody is so friendly and they all make us feel at home. There is a lot to do in Sharm el Sheikh, but I strongly advise anyone who wants to do ANY excursion to speak to Adam first (he has a desk situated in the lobby and he works for the diving centre). Adam is very honest and cheap and he can arrange almost anything. This is a great hotel and we will definately go back again soon!

Hotel Sultan Gardens Resort Sharm

This hotel was brilliant. My partner and I researched for weeks with regards to hotels in and around Egypt. We went to Egypt for the diving and were not dissapointed, the red sea is amazing, abundant with fish its like being in your own aquarium. The room was great, very clean and tidy, only one slight problem, we requested a double bed but unfortunatley got two singles in the room. Food was hot and there was lots of choice. Beach was very small, lots of rocks and steps. To get down to beach from the complex there are lots of steps to negotiate, so its not really suitable for guest with walking difficulties or respiratory conditions. There is a shuttlebus that takes you round the resort as it can seem a long way to walk on foot for a few as the resort is spread over a big area. The pools are massive, clean and very refreshing, but a word of advice try not to swallow any of the pool water as this is what may cause you to have an upset stomach, not the food. We swam on the day before our flight and had a bad stomach on the day we were due to leave. carry some immodium with you and you will be fine. Staff are so friendly (it helps if you try to converse a few words in their language, they can see you are trying, they may laugh at you if you get it wrong but hey your on holiday). We had one week at this resort it was not enough.

If you stay here you will not be dissapointed and you will have a fantastic holiday. We would retun to this resort without question. Its fantastic

We have just returned from a holiday at the Sultan Gardens and it was fantastic. The staff starting with the driver at the airport to everyone in the resort were wonderful, they could not be more helpful. There was a good choice of food with various dishes cooked for you.
We had to cut our holiday short by 1 week due to a family bereavement, the staff at reception were really helpful.
The only negative I would have is the Vodka which had a funny taste maybe they should change their brand.
The weather was very warm but going down to the beach was wonderful, looking at all the different fish was fantastic
I would highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely go back but when it was a little cooler.
Thanks to all the staff for making us feel really welcome and making sure we had a great time.

The Hotel Sultan Gardens is absolutely Brill. You can’t fault anything there! the food is absolutely Fantastic with the wide range of food they have in the main restaurants followed by a choice of Italian and Sea food restaurants. All the staff are very welcoming when you first arrive and are very helpful throughout the whole holiday. The animation team do an excellent job of entertaining all ages throughout the day and in the evening!I would recommend this hotel to anyone! I had a brilliant holiday staying with the Sultan Gardens!

Hotel Sol Y Mar Mirabel Beach Resort Sharm

Have just come back from a weeks stay at the mirabel beach, first impressions wow what a place the reception area marble floors, pillars and gorgeous chandliers, check in easy with polite staff with a welcome drink from the adjoining bar if we so required. we were handed our keys and shown to our accomodation, shortly followed by the porter with our cases, although there was just the two of us we had a family room consisting of a huge king size bed, a separate lounge area with two settees (could be converted to single beds), a good sized bathroom with walk in shower, toilet/bidet and freebee soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, a lovely good sized balcony and we were lucky enough to be overlooking the pool area with lovely landscaped gardens, well maintained with pretty flowers and palm trees. The staff from the gardeners to head waiters and chefs were ever so polite and nothing was to much trouble, we enjoyed the food in the restraunts although we didn’t try the a la carte (1 free visit per stay), the complex is right on the beach with a pool bar serving cold drinks all day, sun beds and umbrellas all provided on the beach and around the pool, a ticket system for beach towels which enables you to have a clean towel every day provided you hand in your ticket and return your towels after use- great nice clean towels every day, works well.
I would say a little short on evening entertainment, but some lovely bars inside and out and lovely and comfortable, kept us going!. This was our first visit to egypt and will not be our last, and would definately go back to Mirabel Beach – A great holiday, great hotel, great staff, well done and thank you.

Stayed with husband at Mirabel Beach for two weeks. Never been to Egypt before and not sure what to expect.
Airport a bit confusing as not much direction given as to what to do once you get off bus from plane and enter the airport. Once we handed in Landing Forms, paid for Visa and handed in Swine Flu Form we were free to collect our luggage and were away on air conditioned coach to hotel. The transfer takes about 15-20 minutes.

During the holiday regularly saw planes flying over hotel but the noise was not an issue at all. It was actually really interesting to watch them as they do come over quite low.

Walked into hotel and was completely awe struck. Reception and Lobby very spacious and plush. On check in spent a couple of minutes completing forms and were then directed to our room. Luggage arrived at room 15 minutes later.
Due to lateness of arrival, small selection of food laid on for us which was a really nice touch.

Room – Excellent, pool view from balcony and could even see the beach. The room was spacious consisting of bedroom, TV and fridge (minibar – not part of all inclusive). Living room area with two sofa settee beds against each wall. Hallway with good storage facilities and safe. Bathroom really spacious with walk in shower. Really good air conditioning, which we needed as so hot! The overall decor was very good and neutral colours. Room cleaned daily and towels could be changed daily if required. Regularly received flowers in room from housekeeper and occasionally had towel decorations on the bed.

Restaurants – Two formal eating places. One was more stricter on dress code – men to wear trousers for the evening meal, the other accepted cut offs and shorts. The food was of a very good standard at breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Always a large selection of food and different throughout the fortnight. I did hear some people say that there was nothing for them to eat! Well if you can not eat Venison, Veal, Beef, Seabass, Tiger Prawns, Calamari, Oysters, Pasta, Potatoes, Vegetables, Rice etc then maybe this is not the place for you! I will admit that food was not always piping hot but the staff were regularly replenishing the trays and I expect this when it is self service. The staff in restaurants do work very hard but on a couple of occasions were slow to deliver drinks to the table and were slow turning tables over. I believe this could be resolved by having a few extra staff in the restaurant.
We generally ate in the snack bars at Lunch time. Limited choice of food but what we had was good, Pizza, Burger, Pasta and Sandwiches.
We used our Worldwide Travel Meal Voucher to eat in the Lebanese restaurant. It was fantastic, three course meal with drinks and friendly staff.

In the evenings generally sat outside from bar area. Our waiter Ramy was excellent, very polite, efficient and took real pride in his work. 99% of the time we had drinks delivered to our table along with crisps, popcorn and nuts in the evening . The All Inclusive was local drinks but still a good selection. The entertainment was not brilliant but it sufficed.

Pools were lovely and clean and the grounds were immaculate. The drink huts by the pools were good serving hot and cold drinks. Sometimes drinks delivered to you but depended on the staffing. Sammy was fantastic. The hotel is really spacious and we had no problem securing sunbeds.
The beach was ok, very clean and not overcrowded but consists of shingle rather than sand. Not a major problem just a pain on your feet! Buy the correct footwear.

The hotel has a gym and spa but we did not use them. Gym would have been to energetic in the heat and found the spa really expenses.

Only ventured outside complex twice once to visit Nabq Bay shopping/bar area and once on a boat trip. Really recommend the snorkling. I seen some wonderful fish and coral and the water is really warm and clear.

Shopping was for me a bit of a nightmare. Good selection of shops on complex. Not really good at haggling and did feel at times pestered to enter the shops. You just have to be firm and direct which took a couple of days for me to master as at first I felt quite rude.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay here, Hotel was excellent, staff were friendly and efficient and food was of a higher standard than I expected. The grounds to the hotel are lovely and well maintained. There is not a great deal outside of the complex but a 20-25 minute walk takes you to the nearest shops/bars etc. There is a lot of building work taking place but never heard it. Nearly everyone we spoke too, including ourselves had at least one day where illness struck. Pharmacy on complex very good but prices inconsistant. Really do not think it was the food and all water is bottled and sealed. The money is a bit suspect and saw alot of people using Anti Bacterial Handwash!

There are alot of trips available but personally would go back during a cooler time of year to experience them.

We did tip certain staff but never felt that we had to. We would return to this hotel and are even considering it for next year. had a totally relaxing, chilled out holiday and met some lovely people.

Hotel Royal Albatros Moderna Sharm

This is the third time we have stayed in this hotel and will keep going back as much as we can. The hotel staff are so friendly, they treat you as family and show real care and consideration to guests in the hotel. The food, although it can be a little monotonous was great, considering they are catering for such a wide range of people and nationalities. The Animation Team are so friendly, ensuring guests enjoy a range of activities during the day and put on some very good shows of an evening. This is the place to bring kids as there are 4 swimming pools, one specifically for kids with a selection of slides in the kids pool, there is also a kids club which is fantastic, the staff who run it are conversant with many languages to help make the kids feel at home and one of the staff used sign language so the Deaf kids were included too. All kinds of trips are organised from the hotel as you would expect but the best feature I thought was the jetty, stretcing so far out into the coral sea, right to the end of the coral reef allowing for brilliant snorkalling. It’s just amazing. I was so terrified of the waves crashing against the jetty that I wouldn’t go in the water at first, the lifeguard offered to take me out, it was so amazing, he took me to the end of the reef, swimming with me, he is like a fish! without him I would never have experienced the wonderful sights of the coral reef and the amazing marine life, it was such an experience. However it was disappointing to see so many guests ignoring the signs not to walk on the coral, spoiling the marine life there. All in all its fab.

We stayed for two weeks with an 11month old and a girl who was 5 whilst we were there. They were fantastic. The only advice I would give is to take your own cot if your child/baby is old enough to stand as the cots provided are very shallow more a crib. If you have a travel high chair take that aswell. I would recommed it though, we had a fantastic relaxing time and my little girl was even given a lovely birthday cake with a candle on her birthday. Kids club was great but make sure they are getting drinks, the
kids disco is sweet and the shows quite ammusing.

The main pools and kids pool are fantastic and the kids play areas are well maintained

This was our first time in sharm and we must say we enjoyed the experience. Staff at the Royal Albatross go out of their way to make your holiday enjoyable, with the exception perhaps of the reception staff who could smile a bit more. If you give a little tip now and again to your favourite member of staff or someone who you see is working exceptionally hard, it pays dividends, as they rely on tips to supplement their wages. The biggest let down was the hotel room. We were by the relaxation pool, which was lovely, but the decor in the room was tired and the bathroom was very shabby, especially the tiling. 5 star – I don’t think so! We found that the a la carte restaurants weren’t very busy but would suggest that a small supplement for the food instead of having to pay the full price would probably attract more customers. We tried the Italian and the food was excellent but the only complaint was that we wanted to eat outside and were then joined on the terrace by non-eating smokers and guests playing cards, not exactly our idea of a nice romantic candlelit dinner on the terrace! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would love to return to Sharm in the near future.

Hotel Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort Sharm El Sheikh

We booked this for our honeymoon. I actually work for a holiday company (quite a well known one!) however we did not feature this hotel, so we actually booked with a different tour operator.

The hotel is SO clean, the staff are SO friendly. Our room was actually a suite, the staff up graded us when they found out we were on our honeymoon.

There are alot of steps however a pool at nearly every level so its not as bad as it can seem. The swim up bar is great, u can get anything from a steak to a pina colada!

There was no much entertainment going on, but this didnt effect us to be honest, we stayed there for two weeks, and enjoyed afew nights out in naama bay(hmm…not so sure on this one) a couple of evenings in the old town and afew at Arabian nights, it was wonderful.

The restaurants were wonderful, we don’t like a buffett every night and although the a la carte in the hotel was more expensive, we didnt feel like we were being ripped off.

I stayed at the Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort with 2 other friends and I can honestly say, this was THE nicest resort have ever stayed in! Beautiful setting, gardens, spacious with so many swimming pools which were never crowded…in fact most of the time we had the pools to ourselves! The sea views are beautiful, the service is great and our room was spacious, clean and well-kept. I would DEFINITELY go back to this hotel – with friends, as a couple or even by myself!

Just got back from a very enjoyable stay at the SIERRA Hotel. I do not underdstand what some people expect for there money. I agree that the food is a little basic but there is a wide choice, so everybody should be able to find something to eat. . We stayed for 10 days and was not ill once. You just have to be a little bit sensible. The drinks were very nice as were the Pizzas by the pool. The beach was fantastic, snorkelling will never be the same again. I can not say anything bad about this hotel. Our rep was late picking us up.Tthe hotel shuttle bus took my husband and myself to the airport for free. We didn’t even ask them. The only comment I will make is about the evening entertainment. Although the fountain bar in soho square, which is part of the all inc package and is open until 1am, the entertainment seems to be geared mainly towards the mother land Russia. The nightclub is All inc until 4am and not 1am as someone else had suggested, always a good bit of fun, All inc covers local drinks only. The rooms were spacious and clean as was all of the hotel. I will definately go back next year.

The Sierra is a nice hotel, very clean and tidy, really nice pool area and most of the staff are really helpful and welcoming. Our room was always clean and tidy thanks to out cleaner who was a godsend, a $1 per day tip ensures that you have plenty of water in your fridge, the cleaners only leave 2 bottles of water per day but due to the heat you will go through liters per day. The only draw back was the food, nothing special but I wasn’t to keen on any of the meals provided, breakfast was fine really nice but the afternoon and evening meals wasn’t up to much, over all it was a nice holiday and if the food gets better I would go back anytime, but thats my view, try it ?

Just back yesterday from the Sierra hotel. A really nice hotel in a lovely area. Much preferred where we were located to the more popular Naama Bay which to be honest, I didn’t really like at all.

The Sierra is clean and bright. The staff are variable, mostly very nice and acommodating, but some are a bit surly, but only a few. The secret is to tip when you are there and they will make sure you are looked after, especially if you are at the pool and they will bring you drinks all day long – look out for Louie, he was really nice and he made sure we always had drinks. The rooms where nice and bright. The air con was fabulous and the beds very comfy. I slept better there than I do at home. The rooms are cleaned every day and we had fresh towels every day too. The pool was lovely.

Now for the only thing that stops the Sierra from getting 5 stars – THE FOOD! I can honestly say hand on heart, that I am the least fussy person ever – I’ve been on holiday loads of times and stayed in some rough places, but the food at the Sierra is dreadful! There is lots of choice, yes, but trying to find something edible is very difficult. The breakfasts were nice, fresh made omelette was lovely, lots of pastries, cereal etc. However, main meals were awful. I ate cakes all week (which were lovely), but couldn’t eat anything else. Everyone was complaining about the food but I think the last couple of days it did improve slightly. We went into the Hard Rock Cafe which was nice. Also, the eateries in Soho square are meant to be very nice. Heard good reports about all of them. The drinks are good, the gin, vodka etc tasted good, sometimes with all inclusive it can be horrid, but these were nice. Try the Sinai Special cocktail – lovely! The entertainment was pretty dire – a russian singer most nights – and even if you go down to soho square, its the same people, but we went just to relax. Younger people went into Naama Bay where there were loads of clubs and bars, but I don’t know how they afford it.

The location was nice, at first I thought we were very out of the way, but the surrounding SOHO square was nice, with lots of eateries a couple of bars, ice rink and bowling alley. I reckon in a few years this will just get bigger and bigger.

TIPS
Don’ t bother taking towels – they will provide you with them.
If you have long hair, take a hair dryer – the hotels are terrible.
DO NOT BUY DRINKS THAT ARE OFF ALL INCLUSIVE – 2 Malibu (no mixer) £20 – I’m not kidding!
Be very careful in the sun – it was 38 degrees a few days, mostly 35. Scorching hot. You will need a very high factor.
I tried Deet 50% and Avon Skin so Soft – still got a few bites but not too many. Some people were absolutley covered in bites.
Despite not eating much, I still ended up on day 5 with the dreaded “tummy bug”.
Barter Barter Barter, for everything, even the trips which are really expensive.
Don’t go swimming with the dolphins – extremely expensive, lovely, but not worth it. We paid a fortune for 15 minutes then had to sit for an hour through a DVD and the hard sell of pictures and I felt really guilty afterwards although the dolphins looked well looked after.
Go on a boat trip – snorkelling is fantastic – I am not a strong swimmer, but one of the divers chaperoned me and made sure I was ok, it was amazing seeing the fish – we even saw a turtle – but barter a price as they are quite quiet just now.
Be aware of prices – everything is really expensive.
Don’t buy at the airport £3 for a can of diet pepsi!

All in all the Sierra was really nice. My friend has been to Sharm loads of times and says this is the best hotel she;s been in (even better than the Savoy). A friendly hotel with a nice atmosphere. The animation team were nice and didn’t hark on if you didn’t want to join in (try the water aerobics though – it was a laugh although the Russian music will drive you mad by the end of the week (me and my friend were humming the tunes on the plane coming home)! Would definately go back to the Sierra – hopelfully the next time the food will have improved.
