Hotel Ghazala Gardens Sharm Holiday Reviews

Hotel Ghazala Gardens Sharm

We recently stayed at Ghazala Gardens and I can honestly say that we could not have chosen a better place in Sharm El Sheikh. It was within 2 minutes walk from Naama Bay (literally across the road) and on one of our first days there we saw their sister hotel – Ghazala Beach, which paled in comparrison. We also did a city tour excersion and saw a few other places which looked very dated with tiny swimming pools.

Ghazala gardens has amazing swimming pools, the main one wraps around one the the main bars. The resort also boasts it’s own man made beach which is great, but be careful because it can really burn the soles of your feet. It is extremely warm there at this time of the year.

I thought the food was amazing. I know some people won’t agree, but there was plenty to choose from and I honestly could not complain. The breakfast pastry selection is to die for.

Our air conditioning was not working properly in our room, but once we told them they sorted it out immediatley. Also, the cleaners of the room only tend to make you towel decorations if you tip them, but this was not an issue for us. It is recommended that you tip once at the beginning of your stay and then again once at the end.

We highly suggest you do a quad biking excersion as it is AMAZING!!!! A two our bike ride around the dessert and a cup of tea with the desert nomad people.

Be careful not to leave your balcony or terrace door open, especially at night as it tends to attract mosquitos! Make sure you take some insect repelant and spray yourself before going to sleep at night if you are prone to bites.
Also take plenty of sunscreen because as I mentioned, it is really hot and I am used to the african heat. It even got a bit too much for me at the end.

If you do go out into Naama Bay then please note that you will be hassled a lot, especially if you go into the shops. They don’t quite know how to take no for an answer and like to take the micky out of the various international accents. Luckily for me I am South African, so they could not mimick mine, but for my boyfriend who is Irish it was a very different story. The men also like to hit on the women, regardless of whether or not they have a boyfriend and this goes for a hotel staff as well.

Be warned that there don’t seem to be any road rules in Egypt and cross the road can be a rather challenging experience. Also I find it helps if you do not look out the window while driving anywhere. It’s quite frightening.

I would also like to thank Mohammed who worked behind the Mango bar during the day. He served us with endless cocktails which we enjoyed in the pool most days.

Overall I loved very minute in this resort and I cannot wait to go back. The resort is so good you may not even want to wander out into the rest of Sharm El Sheikh.

I stayed in the Ghazala Gardens hotel with my husband and two children last year and thought that it was no longer on sale to British customers. My husband spotted it advertised in the Sunday paper last week and to my delight we’ve been able to book it again for Christmas next year.

The location and standards of the Ghazala Gardens are the best we’ve come across in Sharm. The hotel is really plush and all the shops and bars are just across the road. We must have saved £100 in taxis.

The kids loved the Italian Buffet bar which was right beside the pool beach. I don’t think my husband and youngest would have moved from their sun beds all week if I hadn’t made them. I preferred wandering down to the seafront at the Ghazala Beach across the road where we could use the buffet restaurant at lunchtimes and there was an All Inclusive bar just for our use.

The rooms were quite big and kept clean. I noticed some that lead straight into the pool, but I expect they were more expensive. To be honest the rooms we had were quite good enough anyway.

I am so pleased we can go back.

Hotel Coral Sea Holiday Village Sharm Holiday Reviews

Hotel Coral Sea Holiday Village Sharm

Just returned from a week in the Coral Sea Holiday Village. We were unsure what to expect since it was billed as a “family” hotel and we were going as a couple. It was fantastic, yes there were lots of families but it is ideal for couples too. I must admit that we didn’t really participate in many of the activites but there was something on all day/every day and night to suit all tastes. It is fantastic for kids and their every need is catered for, including their own part of the main restaurant. The food in the main restaurant – breakfast, lunch and dinner was fantastic, excellent choice. You could also have your own pizza or pasta made while you wait at night and toasties and pizza at lunchtime. We only went to two of the A La Carte Restaurants – the Chinese/Asian and the Medeteranian and they were both fantastic. The beach was lovely, plenty of sun loungers and large beds. Water not too deep at the end of the jetty and you could see plenty of fish without going into deep water. My only negative comment, is that being regular visitors to Egypt, you didn’t really know you were in Egypt – you could have been anywhere. We had a junior suite, room 4210, it was a lovely big room with a nice view over the gardens, pool and out to sea. There are quite a few shops/restaurants just outside the hotel and looks like more planned including Hard Rock Cafe and TGI Friday’s, We will certainly visit again – excellent hotel.

Just returned from the Coral Sea holiday village after 10 days. Familys with kids wont be disapointed, we had a fantastic time.
We booked a standard room and were quite happy until mid-week when we decided to look at a swim up room. They are much bigger, with extra’s and so for 20 quid per night we decided to spend the rest of the holiday in the swim up room block 13. Was fantastic as our 3 year old could just swim all day! This really made our holiday and would reccomend it. The weather was so hot whilst we were there so the water was lovely and i would recommend it to anyone traveling in the summer months.

We found the food ok, always somthing to choose from and loved the pasta, pizza and omlette section. Wasnt fantastic but did the job. We did eat at all three of the a la carte restaurants and enjoyed them all especially the Indian. My partner was ill all evening after the chinease even thou at the time we enjoyed it and i was fine so maybe not conected with the food. Apart from that none of us we ill whilst on holiday, i did however carry round the hand jel and used it regually, especially after the loo as some of them wernt very clean.
We loved the pools and our 3 year old loved the flumes and kiddy pool. Our swim up room was allways in full sun and was warm.
The village in general is well kept, gardens lovely, pools clean, rooms cleaned very well and room lads were great. I didnt take any towels and didnt need any you get them off the pool lads everyday. This saved on space in the suitcase!
We found the entertainment in the evening to be ok, our 3 year old enjoyed it as they dedicate an hour for the kids, some things i thought were a bit silly but they did have to cater for kids from baby to teenager. The shows i thought were good and felt the team worked very hard to entertain.
The staff stand out in the holiday village, anything to please attitude and was impressed with the service we received.
We did take our snorkels and went of the pier and saw quite a few fish, was worth it and if your braver try the next pier along as it is longer and you see much more!
All in all we had a great family holiday in the holiday village, really relaxing thanks to our swim up room! Would return and reccomend. happy holidays!

Hotel Dreams Beach Resort Sharm Holiday Reviews

Hotel Dreams Beach Resort Sharm

We have just returned for a weeks stay at the Dreams Beach Resort. We were greeted as we got off the plane by men in white coats and masks sticking a thermometer in our ears to see if we had a temperature (swine flu). We were then asked to pay £13 each for a visa – you only need this if you are intending to travel to places like Luxor or Ciaro as they are in another Continent. If you are just doing boat trips/quad biking etc, you don’t need to fork out for this (but they don’t tell you this of course). The guy who put our cases on the coach at the Airport wanted £1 per case – we paid as we had visions of them being left in the car park if we didn’t! Our Sea view room was spacious and the fridge was topped up daily with water/coke/sprite. (We did tip the cleaner a few times (only around £3 – they seem to prefer sterling). The resort is best for couples. We didn’t see may children at all but it was just before the school broke up for the May holidays. There were plenty of sunbeds available and we went down to a small beach area which opened at 8am but as long as you get there to put your towels on before 9am you’ll get a good spot (130 steps down mind, and then you’ve got to get back up!). The beach is a bit shingly but there are loads of colourful fish to see (best to get some sea socks from the shop on the resort as there is no way you can walk on the stone jetty barefoot – it’s just too slippy).
There are a number of Restuarants (some part of the inclusive package, some not) We enjoyed a meal at The Asia House (cost us 300EP). The food elsewhere wasn’t great – very bland and dry. We prefered using the sister hotel, Dreams Vacation for our breakfast as although it was smaller, the food seemed better. We went to Naama Bay a few nights using the hotel’s courtesty bus (book in the morning for that evening as there are only so many spaces). Naama Bay was bustling and to play safe we ate in TGI Fridays (at least the food had some taste to it). Little Buddha was dead and the cocktails are way more expensive than anywhere else. Hard Rock Cafe is OK for drinks too.
Good boat trip to go on is Ras Mohammed which has 3 snorkeling stops. The first one was too choppy for me, but the third stop was really calm and there were loads of fish to see. If you are thinking of going on this trip (it cost us $88 ea) have a big breakfast or ask the hotel for a lunch pack as the food on the boat is stone cold tomato spaghetti!
My best piece of advice for the holiday is to take some anti-bacterial gel with you – the bugs you get are mainly from the Egyptian money. We used it after handling the money and before we ate and we were fine.
If you are into fine dining and sandy beaches, then this holiday is not for you. But for a week of relaxtion and guaranteed weather, then it’s not bad for the money.

Expected to be in Mexico however due to the Swine Flu this holiday was a replacement. Started as a disaster with the coach reversing over one of our bags – suncream everywhere- however the hotel came up trumps and cleaned all our clothes and replaced the suncream and gave us a new bag. Thank you to Magdi the deputy manager for his intervention when the rep seemed unable to give any assistance except to say “Claim on your Insurance”. The hotel was very good with a good selection of food in the buffet. We have been on many all inclusive holidays and found it very strange to have restaurants that you were expected to pay for, also wine after 10pm was £4.50 a glass. The rooms were spacious and cleaned thoroughly each day, the gardens were well tended and all the staff were very kind and helpful. The only problem was there was no beach, the hotel is locted on a cliff and has man made terraces down to the sea. The sea is accessed via three jettys all of which were slippery and not the place to be if you were a non swimmer as the sea is very deep at the end of the jettys.
All in all a good holiday but would not return due to the sea access.

My partner and I and two friends went to Dreams Beach for a one week holiday.
The hotel was lovely, very clean and all staff (apart from one at reception) were all really nice. The rooms were spacious with a lot of cupboard space.
There was a few places to eat at night, the buffet place, the restaurant at the pool and the grillhouse (restaurant at pool and grillhouse had to be booked) grillhouse was really nice so was the pool restaurant. The buffet was okay, the boys loved it but me and my friend were not that impressed.
We went on a few day trips the quad biking in desert was amazing!!! Also to Aqua Park that was really good aswell. and the day trip to pyramids by air! Great day out!
We all enjoyed our holiday was really good. Definetly going back to sharm el sheikh next year!

When we booked this hotel and read some of the reviews we were a little worried as some were pretty bad!!…but I seriously dont know what they was on about! this hotel was great!! Great pools, great rooms (could do with a little makeover tho) lots of food! and brillaint staff!! they have a great animation team! kids could never get bored! we stayed for 2 weeks! and enjoyed every minute! the mexican and Asia restaurants are a must! they are great! and we had a nice meal and evening at the love boat too! (this is on the beach) also the grill house on the beach this is nice, however we only ate there once cos we didn’t find out about it until the 2nd to last night! its also included in the all inclusive. We only ventured out of the hotel once! and that was to nama bay! we had a nice meal in rock cafe but then got harrased by shop wokers when walking around! they try everything to get you in there shop! just say no and walk away.
We had a fantastic holiday and would definatly recommend the hotel, and we even plan to go back!!

Great hotel stayed here once and twice in Dreams Beach, staff are very friendly and helpful. Quiet for sun bathing around the mexican pool which is great, music is played at the others but you can still hear it at this pool but its just not as loud. Food excellent but at night prefer to eat at Dreams beach restaurant as this is more like a restaurant the vacation one more like a canteen. Rooms cleaned every day with change of towels. Additional restaurants with extra charge are a must to go to, the Mexican is fantastic food and fab staff very cheap for what you get also the Asia restaurant which is chinese and indian is great too. Great holiday all round and love the weather, food and people.

Went to this hotel for 2 weeks and have to say me and my family had the time of our lives. everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The food is great and the drinks just keep flowing all the while you are there. Delicious pancakes served everyday around 3pm at the Mexican bar, do not miss them. I am already looking forward to going back to the same hotel in October.

Egypt is an absolute nightmare for auto travel and getting to the Hotel El Hayat Sharm Resort or nearby resorts can get a real pain. So why not take a pre-booked taxi and arrive at your hotel relaxed? You really don’t want to take a random taxi, even at the airport, so try and book a reputable Sharm taxi firm in advance.
