Hotel Novotel Sharm El Sheikh

First time in Egypt and chose Novotel Beach in Nama bay – Absolutely brilliant ! Centre of nama bay like Las Vegas, but this hotel just along a beach side promenade within walking distance so you have the restaurants / bars / shops etc if you want and can retreat to the Novotel for peace and quiet. Hotel not too big , lovely pool and its own beach, free beach towels etc. Rooms lovely and clean , beds very big and comfortable.
Staff just lovely, they genuinely seemed to enjoy thier work and interracting with the guests.
Breakfasts great, hotel food about the same price as UK for Pizza etcetc, but lots of cheaper restaurats very local.
Can walk into the sea off the beach at this hotel so great for kids – cant do this at every hotel because of the coral reefs. The snorkelling and fish are out of this world, like swimming in a big Aquarium or being in the film ‘Finding Nemo’ Honestly – it will take your breath away ! Hunderds of fish all sizes and colours to be seen easily from this hotel beach – better than the Tiran Island trips we did.
I was on holiday with my daughter so as 2 women we did get quite a lot of hassel from shopkeepers etc. But for a safe and polite reception You should go to the little Shop attached to the Novotel Beach hotel, Amir and Ahmed understand that the British dont all like haggling !, They were really very good , sell a little bit of everything and treated us with courtesy, giving a great price on stuff so we didnt feel ripped off. Buy your snorkels, masks and fins here and not in England, they were much cheaper and better quality.
We will definately be booking again to visit Sharm – and will go to the Novotel beach simply for its location, beach and corals and relaxed atmosphere. ( first time I would return to the same hotel ! )
Nama bay only 20 mins from the airport, flight just 5 hours from UK, time difference only 2 hours so all in all an easy journey – what more could you want – GO !!!

We stayed at the Novotel Beach part of the complex. It was a great hotel. Very clean with the most friendly, trustworthy and helpful staff. Great location on the beautiful beach promenade, 10 mins walk to centre of Naama Bay. Looking at the neighbouring hotels I would say the Novotel Beach looked the nicest. Didnt drink at the hotel bar though as it was very expensive – around £5 for a tin of local beer (although alcohol was pretty expensive everywhere in Sharm). Breakfast was lovely. I will definately go back to this hotel but would specify the Beach rather than the sister resort The Novotel Palms.

We stayed in the ‘ Beach side’. The rooms were probably the best we have had, large and clean. The bathroom was fairly small but had a large walk in shower which was really powerfull and always had plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was good all the usual things, eggs cooked to order etc. The breads and cakes were so tasty.
The pool was heated and never a problem getting sun beds, also plenty of sun shades if you wanted them. During the morning the entertainments team put on dancing classes and water aerobics which was good fun. The beach was also lovely and again no problems getting a bed.
The location of the hotel is great as you are near to the shops/ restaurants but far away enough from any noise etc.
The only downside of the hotel is the cost of drinks/food. It is so expensive! We didn’t eat or drink there. Generally Sharm has got very expensive to eat and drink. Wine is now £20 plus per bottle. We went diving with Onaas diving school who were very friendly and safe. Good for beginners and PADA divers. Quad bikes were fun , book at the tourst info and do a deal. Restaurant on beach was fun and reasonable (located at the end of prom towards casino) . Hilton next door to Novotel was good for lunch,
Jolie Hotel barbeque was very expensive, 350 egyption pounds each. Hard Rock was great fun, reasonably priced and good food. Pomodora was good, always busy which is always a good sign

Hotel Novotel Sharm El Sheikh Palm Holiday Reviews

Hotel Novotel Sharm El Sheikh Palm

Stayed at the Novotel Palm for two weeks. Could not fault one thing, absolutely loved it!!! We were a bit weary at first due to the reviews on here of people wanting the Novotel Beach hotel. We did originally want the Novotel Beach but the Palm side is so much better. the road could be a problem if you have prams or toddlers but we found it fine, men stand at each side to get you across safely.
Because it is a new hotel, everywhere is spotless. the rooms are the biggest rooms iv’e ever seen, the bedroom and bathroom is amazing! would defiantly look at staying at another novotel hotel after staying here. The pools, three to choose in this hotel, are massive, we did go to the pool over road but found it too full of small children splashing and running around.
Breakfast was excellent, the chef can make you pancakes, scrambled eggs, omelette’s and fried eggs. there was also yogurts, fruit, bacon, potatoes, tomatoes and fresh juice. The hotel was about 10 mins walk along the beach to the centre which we found perfect. would definatly return back to this hotel if were going to naama bay again.

We stayed at the Novotel Palm for a week which is in Naama Bay and about 15-20 mins walk to the centre of Naama Bay. We had a very big room, lovely super king bed and nice bathroom with walk-in shower. TV with satellite channels and a fridge was provided in the room. There was also a small couch which was great for chilling out instead of using the bed. Our room was very close to reception, about 1 minute walk. We were 20 seconds from the main pool which was lovely. The hotel has 3 pools. Two are located within close reach of each other. The other is a bit further away, but is also very nice. The hotel has numerous facilities including the usual spa and beauty treatmeants. They also have a tennis court, a skate boarding area and a kids area. Our room had two sun loungers outside which was nice as we could sunbathe right outside it at times.

We had to cross the road to have dinner at the restaurant at the Novotel Beach hotel and to go to the beach. This was not a problem at all as the hotel has guards that help you cross the road and they were always helpful and friendly. The Novotel Beach hotel seemed nice though a bit crowded and noisier than the Palm, but was very close to the beach. Novotel Beach has an ATM machine which also exchanges foreign currency. There is no internet facility but a short walk to the Marriot hotel next door does provide this.

The breakfast and dinner was very nice with a variety of food. The staff were very helpful and friendly everywhere in the hotel. We went on a tour to Cairo one day and forgot to leave the sign out to have our room cleaned. When we got back at around 11pm we assumed that we would not be able to have new towels, but the housekeeping and laundry is 24 hours service and we had some towels brought to us within 5 minutes.

Regarding tours, we shopped around in Naama Bay and booked them. We didn’t go with the tour operators that the hotel provided as we found that some of them were quite costly. Our tour guides were very good and explained everything in detail.

We would definitly reccommend this hotel and would stay there again if we go to Sharm in the future.

Regarding the hotel split either side of the busy road, most of the hotels along this stretch (including the Hilton and Marriot) are split across the road so it is not something specific to the Novatel. We were in the Palms, we liked the fact that it was really peacful and spacious, more like a collection of chalets that a hotel with lifts and corridors. If you were in the beach side you could have a room opening out onto the pool area (and have the pool aerobics or kids disco blasting itno your room), or one quite near the busy road. All the rooms on the plams side are well away from the road. If you have kids in tow then the walk might be a pain but for us it was no problem. Certainly much better that being in one of the htels that would require a taxi ride or shuttle bus to get into Naama Bay. Our room was about 5-10 minutes walk from the beach and 15 to 20 minutes from the center of Sharm. The walk to the center of Sharm is past all the sea front resturants so gives you the oppertunity to check them out.
The road crossing was OK with a man with a red stick who stood in front of the traffic to stop it so that you could go across, then on about the 3rd day of our stay they put in speed bumps. These slow the traffic down almost to a stop making the crossing patrol man pretty redundant (athough he gets a bit upset if you cross without him! probably as he will get told off for not helping you).
The beach is great for snorkelling with a reef starting at about 2ft depth about 20ft out. can’t really comment on lying around on the beach as we didn’t!

This was the nicest Hotel that I have stayed at. The main reson I wanted to write this review is because there seems to be a lot of people telling everyone that the Beach Hotel is much better, well we stayed at the Beach Hotel which was absolutly briliant, however we also went to the Palm Hotel a few times and this was also really really nice. Please don’t worry too much as to which one you stay in as you’ll have a lovely time either way. The main thing that I really need to mention above everything is the time factor it takes to walk from hotel to the other – 30 SECONDS!!! including crossing the road that people keep banging on about being really busy – It’s not at all, There are people there that help you cross anyway (like a lollypop man) But really please don’t be put off by this road as it takes about 5 seconds to cross. If you are more of a pool person then there are 3 pools at the Palm resort, and there is only 1 pool at the Beach resort. If you are a beach person then it will take you 20 seconds to walk to the beach from the hotel. Everthing else that I wanted to mention is more or less the same as what other people have said – that I would definately highly recomend this hotel. Have a great time if your going!!!

Hotel Jaz Mirabel Club Sharm

Just returned from two weeks at the Mirabel Club and had a really good time. If you want out and out relaxtion hopping from pool, beach to bar or dinner this is a hotel and to be honest it’s hard to put it down.

The hotel is incredibly clean and well looked after, the staff literally work around the clock keeping the place up to scratch. The staff are also fantastic in their approach and professionalism. Ahmed Said at the Cactus Restaurant is world class in his approach to hospitality and I can think of many individuals around the world who could do with taking some of his work ethics!!

The food is good and a safe bet for anyone who is used to the sometimes problematic sides of eating while in Egypt, the Club is a smaller hotel and you are limited to the main restaurant and snack bar whilst their are other restaurants on the 3 hotel resort you can only use all inclusive at one of these. To be honest the food is the same but a change of scenery can sometimes be nice in which case you have 3 al a carte restaurants on site (paid options) which are very good, the Italian particularly is excellent…. have the canneloni!

The rooms are clean, well kept but basic in style but once you’re in and settled they’re a great base to work from. Ideal for a young family too as they have a partitioned area with two single beds seperate to the main room.

In terms of getting out and about, Nabq bay is a bit isolated about 25 minutes by shuttle bus into Naama bay although there is La Strada down the road which has shops, supermarket, McDonalds, Starbucks and soon to be Hard Rock Cafe. You can see that in time this will be a real up and coming resort and Naama bay won’t be used by people staying in Nabq Bay until then it’s 15 minute walk or 3 minute cab ride.

Overall I would definitley recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a safe bet, Eqypt holiday!

Just arrived home after a thoroughly relaxing holiday, I am quite a “picky” person but could find nothing to “pick” about. Staff were without exception both friendly and helpful, everywhere continually cleaned. Bottles of water free and plentiful . Lots of choice in the restaurant and creme caramel to die for ! The lack of nightlife was not a problem for us, but younger folk might find it so.

We just arrived back from the Jaz Mirabel Club on Saturday, so here are my thoughts.

My sister and I flew from Gatwick with Viking Airlines, arrived to the Hotel at about 7.30pm.

On checking in, the lobby is very nice, the staff at the check in desk were very professional and helpful, telling us all we needed to know about the resort. The resort is made up up of 3 hotels, the club, the park, and the beach. All very nice. After checking in we went straight to the restaurant for some dinner, you just help yourself, and sit wherever you like. Alcohol in the restaurant too. We thought overall the food during the holiday was very good, we didn’t have any tummy problems. We used the Cactus Restaurant for Breakfast and Dinner, and the snack bars for lunch. All very good, and quick service.

During the evening there is usually a singer in the lobby bar, which is ok, but we weren’t really there for the night life, and went for one or two drinks in the evening. Also, the service in the bar is good. The service at the pool bar was also good. The measures of spirit to mixers in drinks can be very strong, so we stuck to beer mostly.

The rooms are immaculate, very clean. Every day, the entire resort was cleaned and preened to perfection.

The only thing we found during the holiday, as 2 females alone, were that we got some unwelcomed attention from a few of the male staff. Unlike some of the other Brits in the complex, we were not there to make friends with staff, and just wanted to get our drinks without any hassle, but there were a couple of the male staff (as there are no female staff at the hotel) that would make inappropriate comments, my sister seemed to get alot of this, the comments were funny at first but towards the end of the holiday I didn’t like the undertones of these comments. I would say if you are female travellers alone, then be quite firm from the beginning of the trip and try not to get into conversation. Harsh, but it saves hassle and worrying if you can get a drink without being harranged by the staff, just for info I am 26 and my sister is 23, I don’t know if these staff would act like this with older people, or women this age who were with their boyfriends/husbands.

There seemed to be lots of kids around, not Brits, but Italians and Dutch, possibly it was half term for them. There was a kids club, that seemed to keep most of the kids quiet for the day times, although in the restaurant at night, it occassionally seemed over run with children!

We also went on a snorkel trip with Mr Diver who is on site, and this was good. The guide Redas, was very informative, and kept a close eye on us all while we went snorkelling as a group, was a good trip, even though the snorkelling was in a very choppy red sea!

A point that did let the hotel down was that there is a market place within the hotel, this is fine, but during the morning times, the hawkers from the shops (about 2-3 of them) come to the pool, trying to get you to have a haircut, or have a henna tattoo. We said no on the first day, but they still persisted on asking us every day, which got really annoying towards the end of the holiday.

Although there were a couple of points that let the hotel down, we both thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Jaz Mirabel Club, and would definitely visit again, as we found it very relaxing and just what we were after for a week.

Just for info, you can access the internet in the lobby, they give you a laptop to use, its about £7 for half an hour. There’s a good gym there, free use of sauna/steam room/jacuzzi. Mini Bar and Room Service not included in All Inc deal. The water in the mini bar is not part of the all inc, so everyone was getting the bottles from the bar at the end of the evening to wash teeth with in the morning.

Hotel Jaz Mirabel Beach Sharm

Have just come back from a weeks stay at the Jaz Mirabel Beach, first impressions wow what a place, the reception area marble floors, pillars and gorgeous chandaliers, check in easy with polite staff with a welcome drink from the adjoining bar if we so required. we were handed our keys and shown to our accomodation, shortly followed by the porter with our cases, although there was just the two of us we had a family room consisting of a huge king size bed, a separate lounge area with two settees (could be converted to single beds), a good sized bathroom with walk in shower, toilet/bidet and freebee soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, a lovely good sized balcony and we were lucky enough to be overlooking the pool area with lovely landscaped gardens, well maintained with pretty flowers and palm trees. The staff from the gardeners to head waiters and chefs were ever so polite and nothing was to much trouble, we enjoyed the food in the restraunts although we didn’t try the a la carte (1 free visit per stay), the complex is right on the beach with a pool bar serving cold drinks all day, sun beds and umbrellas all provided on the beach and around the pool, a ticket system for beach towels which enables you to have a clean towel every day provided you hand in your ticket and return your towels after use- great nice clean towels every day, works well.
I would say a little short on evening entertainment, but some lovely bars inside and out and lovely and comfortable, kept us going!. This was our first visit to egypt and will not be our last, and would definately go back to Mirabel Beach – A great holiday, great hotel, great staff, well done and thank you.

This hotel looked good on the website, however, you always air on the side of caution till you get there. As soon as we walked into the reception we knew it was going to be good. The staff at the resort are lovely and they seem to love the english people and are friendly. They really look after you well. Also, the food was really really good. Better than I have expected. My friends had never stayed all inclusive and they were amazed and how good the option was. The short walk to the beach is great with free sun loungers and a bar where you can still get free drinks. The snack bars also do good food. Also the rooms are very nice and clean.. We had a couple of minor problems and these were sorted very very quickly. The Staff really look after the hotel and the settings are beautiful. The only downside is that there is no really entertainment as far as I am concerned but as long as you have good company then you should not get bored. All in all, this was a brilliant place to stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Jaz Mirabel Beach hotel for a week and we had a fabulous time, the hotel service and food was amazing. the staff were very helpful, rooms were extremely clean and the housekeeper made wonderful creations with our towels a smile each day when we went back to our room, wonderful, would most certainly visit again in the near future

Hotel Iberotel Palace Sharm

My boyfriend and I stayed in Iberotel Palace for 11 nights. We had a fantastic time in this amazing hotel. Spotlessly clean, staff who would bend over backwards for you, beautiful breakfast buffet, a lovely pool with relaxing waterfall and the best feature by far..a gorgeous private beach.
We went with Worldwide Travel and didn’t go all Inclusive but it probably would have worked out cheaper, although the lunch and dinner buffets didn’t look too appealing, we decided to try out the local Egyptian places in the Old Market area which were MUCH cheaper (£10-£20 for two depending if you have starters, alcohol etc).
Bit of a culture shock on arrival as the men are quite sleazy but instead of saying things to me, they kept telling my boyfriend he was a “luck man”..very annoying!
Plus watch out for mosquito bites if you have very pale skin!
We had planned to relax on the beach and do a few day trips with the main priority being a day trip to Cairo. We were approached by sales people on the beach every day for all sorts of excursions but they are ok and not too pushy!
And watch out for the spa package, although it’s great value (60 euro for sauna, coconut rub, face mask, reflexology massage and salt rub, i have never felt more manhandled in my life-the girl even pulled the shower curtain back and started washing me at one stage!..no privacy, prepare to bare all!)
One guy, Marco was very helpful. He planned our trip to Cairo, with internal flight, trip to Museum, boat trip on Nile, lunch, pyramids all included for £50 less than Worldwide Travel! He also ordanised a snorkeling trip which was cheaper than Worldwide Travel and quad biking up Mount Sinai.
Snorkeling in Red Sea is breathtaking, My boyfriend and I were total beginners but it was brilliant. (although I ate some egyptian seafood “salad” on the boat and was very sick for two days, just be careful)
Cairo is insane but worth the trip. I would love to see it again and the pyramids are amazing.
Very hot (40 degrees) but lovely breeze so it was bearable.
Namma Bay is really touristy, we went once and had a good laugh at all the cheesy clubs etc. Had a great steak in The Camel Bar though for £8, delicious! This would be the place to go for partying, but we wern’t looking for that.
There is a great beach bar adjoining the Iberotel Palace private beach which has live DJs every Friday and all the rich Egyptian children who have given up on Islam go for drugs and debauchery..bit sureal but everyone is welcome. A lot of old residents in Iberotal who constantly complain about this bar, but we quite enjoyed it!
All in all, a trip of a lifetime, no complaints about the hotel. Egyptians are very friendly but will try to rob you blind!
Can’t wait to go back…

It’s about time I reviewed the Iberotel Palace. We visited for the fith time in Febraury. The standards were excellent as ever. The facilities, rooms etc are great (but then again there are lots of hotels with good facilities). What maked this place very special is the staff who are second to none. We are always welcomed back by the staff and they remember all sorts of details about your likes and dislikes. This is not contrived or choreographed, it is staff across the hotel who are pleased to see the same customers returning year after year. We will be returning (if only to check on the progress of the tree that was planted for us because we’d visited 5 times)

The place is a gem and the staff are the very best ive ever come across (and I am a well seasoned traveller)

Can’t recommend it highly enough; in an ocean of indifferent hotels, this stands out as a very special destination.

Hotel Melia Sinai Sharm Holiday Reviews

Hotel Melia Sinai Sharm

We returned to this hotel eight months after our first visit to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we brought our parents for their 50th anniversary. It was fantastic and even better than before.

Our room boy had obviously been told what we were celebrating and made swans out of towels and scattered rose petals on our beds. It just made it more special.

The food was really good but dont treat it as a buffett, its not, and you will start getting bored with the food if you do. Its pricey for alcohol but its the same all over SHarm, whatever hotel you use. The coral reef just off the beach is wonderful and diving schools from other parts of Sharm come here as its the best reef in the area. My mum was beside herself when she got into the water, the views and clarity of the water are stunning.

Worth a trip is quadbiking in the desert, all day boat trip which is really good value for money, Naama Bay and the Hard Rock Cafe and a day trip to Cairo is a must. The submarine trip is pricey for what you get but if you dont swim and want to see the reef close up its ideal.

We will definately be coming back later this year and would never consider another hotel.

We went to the Melai Sinai on an all-inclusive break (our first ever) looking for sun, sea and relaxation after a cold winter. We couldn’t have picked a better place – the hotel grounds were beautiful, the snorkelling off the hotel jetty was amazing (even for a novice) and all the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The towel presentations in our room each day were works of art and there was always plenty of room at the pools or on the beach. In fact, we didn’t really want to go on any excursions as we got everything we wanted in the hotel. Best of all, it was only 15 mins drive from the airport.
We really enjoyed the food choice – the only problem was not eating too much! I wouldn’t do it on a b&b or half-board basis as it could work out expensive though.

Hotel Marriott Sharm El Sheikh Beach Resort Holiday Reviews

Hotel Marriott Sharm El Sheikh Beach Resort

My partner and I have been to Sharm many times and this is one of those hotels you see but never think you’ll stay in so when I was trawling through the last minute bargain holidays on the internet and came across this I jumped at the chance to book it. We weren’t disappointed. The Marriott is a superb hotel. We stayed at the mountainside resort not the beach resort. For this I’m eternally grateful due to how busy it was at the beach side. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed every day. The room had two queen size beds in and each had a great big fluffy mattress topper on it so when we got in it was heaven. The air conditioning was good but could have done with being a bit cooler. There was a mini bar in the room which we didn’t use and if like us you wanted to put your water in we did struggle to do so because the fridge was so tiny. There was a selection of TV channels but not much for the English. If you like CNN news then you’re okay but it would hae been nice to have had BBC world news. The staff were amazing and so friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble for them. I couldn’t believe how clean the pool was and after seeing Fattah still hard at work maintaining it after 10pm could understand why it was so clean. The pool area at the mountainside was a lot quieter than over at the beach side but I have to say that the taste in music which was played daily was diabolical. We only stayed on a B & B basis but the food at breakfast was excellent definitely the best of any hotel we’ve stayed at in Sharm. I would never go all inclusive if staying in the Naama Bay region because there is too much choice when eating out. The food at the poolside restaurant was excellent also. Overall the hotel is very well kept and I do have to agree that it’s not what us Brits know as a five star hotel but it would definitely be rated as a four. The weather was absolutely fabulous for the whole two weeks we were there but what did get me was the people moaning about the temperature saying it was too hot. The holiday brochure advertises the temperature and if they didn’t want it that hot then why did they book it in the first place? I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody that wants a nice relaxing holiday and will definitely return if I get the chance.

Welcoming reception staff, very nice rooms with balcony and sea view, quiet too (local music ended at 23.00). Lovely pool, kept very clean as was the whole hotel.
Fantastic buffet breakfast, hotel beach and Italian restaurants very good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Private beach with excellent facilities. Hotel location just right, 10-15 minute walk along the esplanade to Sharm centre.
Our two teenage sons enjoyed it here as much as we did.

My husband and I returned yesterday after a weeks stay at the Marriott sharm, we were on the garden side, we found the hotel very relaxing, the only thing I could complain about were the airoplanes flying over early in the morning, apart from that we had good service, lovely breakfast, the room was spotless and cleaned every day, dressing gowns provided, we liked to lie in in the morning so we just put the ‘Privacy Please’ sign on the door handle every night and no one bothered us to clean the room. The pool boys were very helpful, even saved sunbeds for us, so they were worth tipping. The minibar in the room came in handy as a fridge for water etc. The bakery attached to the hotel made lovely baguettes for lunchtime if we missed breakfast, so all was very good for a relaxing week by the pool and a walk and a meal on a night, would return.
