Hotel Marriott Sharm El Sheikh Beach Resort

My partner and I have been to Sharm many times and this is one of those hotels you see but never think you’ll stay in so when I was trawling through the last minute bargain holidays on the internet and came across this I jumped at the chance to book it. We weren’t disappointed. The Marriott is a superb hotel. We stayed at the mountainside resort not the beach resort. For this I’m eternally grateful due to how busy it was at the beach side. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed every day. The room had two queen size beds in and each had a great big fluffy mattress topper on it so when we got in it was heaven. The air conditioning was good but could have done with being a bit cooler. There was a mini bar in the room which we didn’t use and if like us you wanted to put your water in we did struggle to do so because the fridge was so tiny. There was a selection of TV channels but not much for the English. If you like CNN news then you’re okay but it would hae been nice to have had BBC world news. The staff were amazing and so friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble for them. I couldn’t believe how clean the pool was and after seeing Fattah still hard at work maintaining it after 10pm could understand why it was so clean. The pool area at the mountainside was a lot quieter than over at the beach side but I have to say that the taste in music which was played daily was diabolical. We only stayed on a B & B basis but the food at breakfast was excellent definitely the best of any hotel we’ve stayed at in Sharm. I would never go all inclusive if staying in the Naama Bay region because there is too much choice when eating out. The food at the poolside restaurant was excellent also. Overall the hotel is very well kept and I do have to agree that it’s not what us Brits know as a five star hotel but it would definitely be rated as a four. The weather was absolutely fabulous for the whole two weeks we were there but what did get me was the people moaning about the temperature saying it was too hot. The holiday brochure advertises the temperature and if they didn’t want it that hot then why did they book it in the first place? I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody that wants a nice relaxing holiday and will definitely return if I get the chance.

Welcoming reception staff, very nice rooms with balcony and sea view, quiet too (local music ended at 23.00). Lovely pool, kept very clean as was the whole hotel.
Fantastic buffet breakfast, hotel beach and Italian restaurants very good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Private beach with excellent facilities. Hotel location just right, 10-15 minute walk along the esplanade to Sharm centre.
Our two teenage sons enjoyed it here as much as we did.

My husband and I returned yesterday after a weeks stay at the Marriott sharm, we were on the garden side, we found the hotel very relaxing, the only thing I could complain about were the airoplanes flying over early in the morning, apart from that we had good service, lovely breakfast, the room was spotless and cleaned every day, dressing gowns provided, we liked to lie in in the morning so we just put the ‘Privacy Please’ sign on the door handle every night and no one bothered us to clean the room. The pool boys were very helpful, even saved sunbeds for us, so they were worth tipping. The minibar in the room came in handy as a fridge for water etc. The bakery attached to the hotel made lovely baguettes for lunchtime if we missed breakfast, so all was very good for a relaxing week by the pool and a walk and a meal on a night, would return.

Hotel Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh Resort

We booked our holiday through Worldwide Travel’s to celebrate a couple of special occasions, our Anniversary and my Birthday. All we wanted was somewhere hot and relaxing. Well we certainly got both and more.
We believe our room had been upgraded, we were in the 2nd block of the Hyacinth (all blocks named after flowers) with a lovely sea view, large balcony and large living area. The room was kept spotlessly clean and the room attendant was never far away. This was handy especially as the swipe card for the door was a little temperamental. He would let you in without you going to reception (top tip, don’t keep your card by your mobile phone or digital camera) he was always very jolly and would get you anything you asked for, a little tipping does help.
We did our homework before we went away and read the reviews that drinks and food were expensive so we booked half board and took some Duty Free drinks in with us. Then when there we took the free shuttle bus to Namma Bay to visit the mini markets and buy some local beer, wine and spirits. Although your bags are searched when entering the hotel they don’t mind and didn’t confiscate anything. The hotel prices for a bottle of wine was approx GBP40, beer GBP6, short with mixed GBP10.compared to mini market price GBP10, GBP2, bottle of local short GBP10.
We even walked into Naama bay it took us about 20 mins to get to the end of the Promenade then had a slow walk between the Hotels and Seafront which took another 20 mins to the Centre- but a word of warning it is hot so go prepared with water, sun cream and hat.
The food was excellent in the Café Fresco Buffet, lots of choice and if you get to know the Head Chef, Ragab, he’ll cook you something special while you wait he was brilliant. The Waiters were always very cheerful, especially Ahmed, who always greeted us with a smile and a friendly chat even if he wasn’t serving our table. Mohammed was good too he tried to teach us a new Arabic word every day. There was also a good choice of food at the Souk, but being on HB you were given tokens to spend on food only, it was a great experience but we couldn’t spend all of our tokens and had to hand some back at the end of the night. (Hot tip- to use up your tokens – ask for a takeaway box and ask them to fill with fresh fruit or pizza, so that you can eat later in your room). There was entertainment every night but very basic.
The Beach and Pool areas were never crowded and the Beach and Pool Butlers would always find you a nice spot. The hotel has a perfect location for the coral and even all daily boat trippers stopped right outside the hotel to do their diving and snorkelling. The coral was fantastic, you didn’t even have to venture into the sea to see the fish, you just needed to walk along the jetty and look over through the clear sea and there they were.
The Hotel also helped me celebrate my birthday by delivering a lovely gateaux type cake covered in fruit it was scrumptious.
Whilst there we meet several couples who had been many times before and given the opportunity we would certainly go back again, so what does that say about the place!

If you like snorkelling this has the best garden reef ever literally at your feet. A great dive school should you wish to go under but its not necessary as you can see more from above. The location is suberb, the food fabulous, the rooms very comfortable, loads of swimming pools for everyone all on different levels. Gardens are truly beautiful beach is limited as its man made of course. Staff fall over themselves backwards to be helpful. Not cheap but you won’t get the trots on this hotel as cleanliness is tops. International standard of hotel first class holiday make your own entertainment as the shows are a little repetive after a week of belly dancing.

From the desert surrounding Sharm-el-Sheikh airport to this luxurious paradise the contrast could not be greater. Local red, black and cream granite pave the way from the rooms, through corridors and entice you to stroll through manicured gardens down to the beaches and jetty where the waters team with colourful coral (pink, blue, gold etc). Surgeonfish, butterfly fish and flying fish abound – sights so unlifting that you can hear the “wows” from all around.
As a family we shared stunning club connecting rooms, faultless service and a friendliness from all the staff that we have never experienced anywhere else in the world. Expensive – yes – very – there is no doubt about this eg a meal for four at the Thai restaurant cost two hundred and fifty pounds without any alcoholic drinks.
We used the hotel as a base and flew up to Cairo (1 hr away) one day, then Luxor (40 mins) later on in the week. The hotel is located about 20 mins away from the new and old airport terminals which were adequate.
Worried about security? Egypt has very visible police forces and security services (many ‘bobbies on the beat’). Our hire car was always ‘swept’ on entering the hotel (remember to take an international driving licence) and minibus drivers/taxis are regularly stopped to have their documentation checked. Very reassuring. All in all a magnificent hotel in a magnificent location

Hotel Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort

This is a super hotel. We stayed here for two weeks and were very impressed with everything. The rooms are a good size with extra large bed. Very quiet rooms too and cleaned every day. Food was good and there is also seperate menu for children if there is nothing they like from the buffet service. There is a main eating area and another eating area by the pool. The snorckeling is excellent at the hotel. We saw a matra ray one day – very exciting. The sun beds are large and comfortable too. There are a few different pool locations so can get away from the crowd if you prefer. The bar service is good – no queing. We were very impressed that there is a seperate sun bathing area for adults which we couldn’t make use of because we had our eight and nine year old with us – but we could appreciate this. The setting is beautiful, green grass well maintained with flowers and running water with little bridges going across – and of course waterfalls – very pretty. If you go into Namma Bay there are taxi’s waiting at the gate and you can haggle and get one for 25 to 30 EP. This is a great hotel and we loved it. We would be more than happy to return here.

After reading some of the recent negative reviews a was getting a little worried about this hotel, but we have just got back from a week at hilton waterfalls and my hubby had a really enjoyable, relaxing holiday at this hotel.
the hotel is advertised as a 5star on some web sites, i would personally rate it a high 3 1/2- 4 star only because it needs updating a little in some areas to bring it back upto 5star. Hotel and grounds are large with extensive facilities, there are lots of organised activities for adults throughout the day for people who after just an hour on the sunbed wants to do something a bit more active (hubby) and there are also a few chill out areas where you can laze on a sunbed for hours on end with the occassional dip in the pool (me). the hotel has 2 jettys, leading from their 2 tiny beaches across the coral, these allow you to walk out to a platform where you can dive off safely and do some snorkelling.
The main activities are around the bottom pools and my only complaint would be that they can play the music really loud around these pools even when there are no activities going on. so from the 3rd day we stayed at the top pool, Chillax, which is an adult only pool and has the merest hint of background music and a swim up bar.
All staff were friendly and helpful, and if you decided to tip them we noticed they were extra helpful and friendly! such as our waiter who we tipped on first nite and from then on as soon as we entered restaurant he would come greet us and find us a decent table and we never waited for anything ie. drinks, plates to be cleared. Also tipped the pool attendant and he always made sure we had a good location at the chillax pool. This said about tipping i have to say we never felt pressured into tipping anyone who worked there.
Food was plentiful and more than adequate, we ate well everyday, too well as the extra pounds I am carrying now will testify too! yes its not 5star quality food but they had to cater for around 600 people while we were there and most were all inclusive so I have to say they did really well considering. We went all inclusive which i am glad we did as both drinks and food were quite expensive in hotel and Naama bay.
We had a great room (2104) large, great views of bottom pools and sea, kingsize comfy bed and everything you could need for your stay, kettle with tea/coffee, iron and ironing board, free electronic safe, decent hairdryer, free daily top-up of quality toilletries shower gel, shampoo, moisturiser, soap. and a modern radio/alarm clock that you can plug your mp3 player into. the air con worked well and was quite quiet which was great because it meant we could leave it on all nite, we needed it because it didnt drop below 30 at nite!
Took the shuttle bus from hotel to Naama bay twice it was 10EGP each way which works out to just over £1 each, this was stress free compared to taxis and the guy who runs the shuttle as well as the limo service from hotel ( George) is very helpful, he arranged for us to go on the Quad biking trip for a lot less than the tour operator quoted and its with the same people they use! we choose to do the sunrise quad trip and it was amazing. very friendly and professional guides who take you into the desert on quads to watch the sunrise, yes it was a very early start, pick up from hotel at 4.30am but the temperature was just right, not too hot and there were only 7 in our group which meant you didnt feel lost in a big crowd.
All in all we had a great week at the hilton waterfalls and would deffinately go back and recommend to friends.

Stayed at the Hilton Sharm Waterfalls for 1 week, the hotel is in an excellent location, not to be critised in any way, the seaview from our room was the best. Staff really helpful and friendly and aim to please. Ahmed who kept our room (2031) tidy and clean, it was a pleasure to see his happy face on a morning. His towel art was spectacular. the gardener who tended our little area brought me fresh flowers in a little posy every morning. These special touches made the holiday memorable.
The not so good things about the waterfalls:
FOOD, as posted many times much the same every day, but I notice the catering was contracted out; comparing the quality of food to a hotel in hurgarda in November 08 (LTI Dana Beach) not a patch could do with better quality fresh fruit, what no succulent dates!!!!!!, I was really looking forward to a good feast of these and other fruits.
The main dining room if you look beyond the surface is not really too clean, saw cockroaches on the bread table twice!! The Italian restaurant, service not too good, took ages to be served and had to ask for our desert that we ordered 30 mins previous. Having said that the food itself was quite bland.
Having talked negaively about the food I was glad to have booked all inclusive otherwise it would have been quite expensive.
If returning to sharm will try another hotel in the area, but would consider the waterfalls also just for its location and snorkling which was perfect.

Hotel Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Fayrouz Resort

We got back from Naama Bay yesterday and had a lovely 2 weeks staying at the Hilton Fayrouz. I would have no hesitatation in booking this hotel again. The staff are all happy, helpful and very polite. The whole hotel is kept spotlessly clean and there is no fighting over sunbeds as there are so many provided at each pool! Clean towels are available every day at each pool and the beach. The rooms are a good size and look out over beautiful gardens. The breakfast buffet was full of choice and all the food we had in the hotel was very good. The bar staff are very friendly, especially those in the Pirates Bar and Zaid makes a great cocktail!! Also, the staff at the sinai dive centre were really helpful and the dives were very well arranged. All in all I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone from couples to families of all ages.

We have recently returned from a week at Hilton Fayrouz. We were apprehensive about the trip as we normally do not stay in resorts or big hotels, however due to circumstances we wanted a quiet relaxing week with some winter sun. The Fayrouz was lovely and lived up to all the great reviews on this website.

We had a front row room which was great, clean and very comfortable. The beach is lovely and by far the nicest we saw. It is spacious and the snorkelling off the beach great. I also really appreciated the security on the beach we were able to go for walks and snorkel together knowing that our things were safe on the beach.

Naama bay is a touristy experience but fine for providing good restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines. We also visited old Sharn and enjoyed seeing a different part of Sharm.

We were both pleasantly suprised at how much we enjoyed our trip, the Fayrouz was a perfect hotel in a great location and I would recommend it highly.

After spending 2 weeks travelling around Egypt my husband and I were really looking forward to our beach break in Sharm El Sheik for the final 3 days. and we weren’t dissapointed. This hotel was amazing! We had a great little bungalow but even the attached rooms were really nice- ours had a small eating area, a living room, bedroom and ample bathroom along with a back patio and a little yard.

When we first arrived the Hilton staff was very accomadating and our room was immaculate. We had a fruit plate and drinks waiting for us in the room. The restaurant for breakfast had a huge buffet spread with the freshest of everything.

The best part about this hotel (and all those located along the sea side of the harbour) is that there is a promenade linking all the properties and it’s lined with amazing restaurants and shops. The business owners along the promenade didn’t harass you the way they do in the rest of Egypt which was a relief.

We loooked at the Hilton dreams while we were there- it was a lovely property but it was across the road so they didn’t have a beach and it was much bigger with more kids running around.

In all I recommend this property as a jewel of Sharm.

Hotel Hilton Sharks Bay Resort Holiday Reviews

Hotel Hilton Sharks Bay Resort

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hilton Sharks Bay Resort for 11 nights and had the most fantastic holiday!

I had read so many reviews and was certain I wanted to stay in the new part so booked this through Thomas Cook (worked out extra £100 overall) and also emailed the hotel directly to confirm. It was all worth it, please, if you love lounging by a pool during the day the new side is for you, so worth it.

Upon arriving a golf buggy took us and our luggage to the room in the new side, we did have the room furthest away however it was fine and every room in the new side has a view of the fantastic pools!

The rooms are amazing, quite possibly the biggest and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, huge walk in shower, huge plasma tv and brilliant air con system. All rooms have a tea/coffee facility and fridge stocked up with bottled water, all on the all inclusive. You will find this a god send as you will get through loads of water.

The first morning I set my alarm for 8am as I wanted to be out early to bag a decent sun bed. Well no need, as 75% of the hotel are English most people don’t get up till late so we never ever had any problems getting sun beds. Sun beds were comfy and you get clean towels every day from the pool attendants. There are 2 pool bars, both with decking and other side being the swim up pool bar, these were brilliant. All 3 pools are huge and no other hotel we go to will compare to this.

There are 2 bars in the new side both which we felt lacked a lot of atmosphere in the evening. The restaurant was good with a choice of food every night, we didn’t have any dodgy sickness. We heard a few people that did, but that could be down to the extreme heat and dehydration not the food.

Drinks on the all inclusive are fine, my boyfriend was happy with the beer, and I loved the cocktails!

Staff in the new side were fab, so happy and chatty. They work so hard and just such lovely people and they love the English. Be nice a polite to them and they will remember you for the rest of the holiday.

The old side was lovely too, and did prefer the bars and restaurant here only because it had more of an atmosphere. However evening entertainment was my one negative thing I have about this hotel. It really is non-existent. We spent our nights either having few quiet drinks, playing cards, or back in the room watching tv and relaxing. Soho square is a 10 minute walk away and lovely however be warned drinks outside the hotel are London prices. Gin and tonic was about £6!

The beach down in the old side is lovely too, would suggest getting there early to get sun beds. It was a 10 minute walk from our room down the beach was was quite tiresome in the heat, but the hotel shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes and the snorkelling is a must.

Naama Bay is a must. We took the hotel bus there, and cab back and loved it. There is such a busy buzz and great atmosphere. Go to the Camel bar! We ate out once in Naama Bay and food prices very reasonable, steak and chips £7, same price as a drink! We didn’t go round the shops as we wanted to avoid getting hassled and buying rubbish we would never use!

The weather was HOT! About 44C during the day and 30c at night. However as there was a breeze it was bearable. One day there was no breeze and have never known heat like it, was too hot for me and im a sun worshiper!

All in all we had the most fantastic relaxing holiday, 10 days was perfect for us too although didn’t want to come home. We would definitely return to Sharm el Sheikh and to the Hilton too. If you have booked to go, I am very jealous as you will have an amazing holiday.

I never write reviews but always read them before we travel but i have honestly never had such a good holiday as i did at the Hilton Sharks Bay. After three days we phoned home to tell my daughter to get some prices so we can go back to this hotel in october.(now booked for 8 of us to return) It was honestly that good. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Every where was clean and the restaurant staff could not do enough for you.We found the food to be really good and there was always somthing you could have even if you were a fussy eater like my daughter, who by the way did not starve!! We stayed on the old side which suited us. Slightly dated compared to the new side but better for us as we liked snorkelling and it was so quick to get down to the sea. Snorkelling off the hotels jetty was out of this world. We had gone on a trip snorkelling but saw more from the jetty.Reviews are all well and good but i honestly think you need to make your own conclusions because everyones tastes are different. We are certainly going back hurray!!!!!!!!

Hotel Hilton Sharm Dreams Resort

Hotel was in a perfect positon and was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The Cleo park is NOT free to the guests at the Hilton as advertised, and for a family of 3 was £60. The Gym is also not free as advertised by both the hotel and On The Beach and there is a £12 fee to use it per day! There is also no Archery and the Wi-Fi is £3 per 30 mins. You do have to tip the pool/towel guys to get a sunbed and umberella every day but we found this acceptable. What was unacceptable was the Newspaper seller, who constantly hounded us for 14 days to buy a magazine or paper (£4 for a Daily Mirror costing 45p!) even though we made it clear we did not want one. The food is Ok but mainly aimed at the annoying Russians who constantly push in and are rude to the staff and fail to say thank you if we held a door open for them. We also found that if you were all inclusive then the waiters held back with service and yet if you were paying for your drinks then they were all over you, Unfair! Useful Tips: Tip the Pool/Towel guys, don’t expect to get free entrance into Cleo Park or the Gym. No Archery. Pool area needs resurfacing so wear shoes by the pool. Have a massage, heavenly!, be polite, avoid the Ruskies! Don’t stay in for the shows as they are rubbish. go into Naama Bay for the nightlife, just say a firm NO THANKS to the sellers and finally…. Enjoy Egypt cos its great!

Went to sharm with my best friend to visit friends for the week, so we just needed a hotel that was near the centre of na’ama bay without actually being in the thick of it. so for that reason alone the hotel is great!

W stayed on a b+b basis which suited us great, although I was not impressed with the breakfast. you get the normal breakfast options of cereal, toast, eggs, fruit and there was a chef to make you an omelete if you wanted. they also had waffles, cold salad, cheeses and even noodles and burgers but if you have high expectations of food in a 5 star hotel then you will be disappointed, as the quality of the food is not great.

i thought the service was friendly enough. being two yound females we did attract some attention but i found that they got the hint if you wanted to be left alone!
our room was perfect. our last minute booking included a king size bed that the receptionist kindly offered to change to two singles (yes the beds are hard!) without me even saying anything. the rooms are cleaned everyday but i did not appreciate the 8/9am knock on the door from the cleaner! too early for my liking but that was sorted once the ‘do not disturb’ sign was place on the door before bedtime! and the cleaner did hang around everyday waiting for his tip…

my one complaint about the hotel is the state of the pool areas. there is no tiling on the floor, it is painted but obviously not for a while as it is all chipping away under your feet. it is also like it in the pools aswell. talking about the pools i found that they were abit too shallow, but perfect for kids i suppose! but the gardens around the hotel are beautifully kept with perfectly cut grass and lovely flowers.

Overall the hotel is lovely, full of families from all over europe and older couples, so dont go if you want a ‘party hotel’! its location is perfect for na’ama bay, and the road is fine as the cars do slow down and some even stop for you to cross!

Having been to a 5 star all inclusive in sharm el sheikh last year (which was excellent) i would not recommend this hilton hotel to anyone going for more than a week and wanting all inclusive – it is certaintly not a 5 star resort to me.

Hotel Grand Rotana Resort and Spa Sharm

We stayed at the hotel at the end of April and we also stayed here last April. We had a wonderful time, the hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the staff are so helpful. The pool is absolutely huge and it never gets busy. The weather was fantastic and so was the snorkelling. I have never seen so many fish. I would recommend this hotel to everyone; you get what you pay for. We upgraded to club rotana which was good value as you have evening canapés and you have the choice of taking your breakfast in the rotana club lounge which was lovely and peaceful and nowhere near as busy as the main restaurant. There are a lot of Russian tourists here and on the whole most of them are polite but you do get the odd few who are very rude. The beach is set among pine trees and never gets crowded. The food here is very good especially the Beachfront Restaurant. A special mention to Amr who was most helpful as usual, nothing was too much trouble. Overall this is a wonderful place for all ages to spend a relaxing break.

Stayed at Grand Rotana Resort and Spa for 3 nights after 1 night in Cairo and loved everything about it. Went with my husband and 3 year old daughter and loved the hotel, the gardens, the fish in the sea and the fab pool. The room wasnt the most luxurious we have stayed in but was huge with a big balcony overlooking the pool so couldnt really fault it. The Silk Road restaurant was amazing and wish we had gone there before our final night. all in all, a really good holiday and would definitely go there again.

Grand Rotana Resort and Spa, my boyfriend and I have just got back from a wonderful holiday. It was fantastic from beginning to end- we did not want to come home!
Every area of this hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained. staff were friendly and very helpful without ever being pushy. we were very lucky to have a double room upgrade when we arrived- and the panoramic seaview was lovely.
we had no problems with the food-good choice and all well cooked. the silk road restaurant was amazing and definitely worth a visit.
it is a big resort with excellent facilities for couples and families alike.
